About the Artist... 

I have been making original artwork of one kind or another

since I was very young . Raised by a single mom who is a clay and fiber artist and arts educator, I was exposed to art making in a variety of media and styles throughout my life.  Music has also been very important to me and in my family. I became a songwriter and singer from a young age, eventually studying music at Laguardia HS of Music and the Arts.  I continue to be inspired by many kinds of music.  I earned a BA in Theater Arts from SUNY at New Paltz,  where I studied all aspects of theater production including acting, costuming, lighting, and set construction.   I received an MA in Expressive Art Therapies from Lesley University,  where  I  practiced helping others use the arts to express their feelings, explore their dreams and work through difficult or painful experiences.   In addition to my work in early intervention as an autism specialist for young children,  I now use my empathic skills to create artworks that are personal expressions of the recipient and gift giver.
